@desmondhth — Mining Meta's Ad Library for competitor ads that are still running
Meta Ad life hack:
- Go to Meta Ad library to see what ads your competitors are making
- Filter 'Active'
- Filter the date as old as possible
- Copy them
- Print 💸
The older the ads were published while still active, means that it's printing $$$ because money don't lie
Smart, because the ad library is public and most people don't bother using it systematically. Filtering for old active ads is a reasonable proxy for what's actually converting — nobody runs a losing ad for months. The copy step is where it gets uncomfortable, but the signal extraction part is genuinely useful.
@natiakourdadze — Startup subreddits where self-promotion is tolerated
If you want to promote your business for free, here is a list of startup Subreddits where submissions are allowed (text posts only):
r/RoastMyStartup r/AlphaandBetausers r/GrowthHacking r/Digitalnomad r/explainlikeimfive r/todayilearned r/Promotereddit r/Entrepreneur
Honestly just saved this so I don't forget it when I need to run a scrappy launch. The list itself isn't groundbreaking, but having it pre-vetted for subreddits that won't immediately ban you for promotion saves the twenty minutes of checking rules for each one individually.
